Design source?

I am fascinated by this carving on an oak panel that sold at Dreweatt Neate in June 2005, lot 131...I am not sure what day in June.  The panel, which depicts a Scuffle/Contest scene, was thought to be eighteenth century and perhaps continental.  I have long thought that Scuffle/Contest groups look continental in design rather than English, and the existence of this panel reinforces my belief that they are after an earlier continental source.
